The digging of pit and saplings distribution was completed on 3rd June. There will be regular monitoring of these trees in the next 2-3 years. Spread across the length and breadth of Manipur, the focus is not just on the number of trees but also on their survival.

“Congratulations to all the students and teachers for participating in the mass tree plantation today crossing over 60,000 trees. On behalf of the Dept, I would convey my regards to forest department, higher and technical education, AMWJU, private schools, student unions, local NGOs and of course officers and officials of Education (schools). My special regards to our Hon’ble Minister for the same,” Director, Education Department, Thokchom Kirankumar said.
